Bajaj Auto reports 7% decline in November sales with 2,40,854 units

Total exports reached 180,786 units, a 24% increase from the 145,259 units exported in November 2023. This growth in exports helped offset the decline in domestic sales.
Bajaj Auto Ltd. reported a 5% year-over-year increase in total vehicle sales, including exports, for November 2024. This amounted to 421,640 units sold, compared to 403,003 units in November 2023. While overall sales grew, domestic sales saw a decline, offset by a significant rise in exports. Two-wheeler sales followed a similar pattern.

“Total domestic sales (including commercial vehicles) declined 7% at 2,40,854 units in the previous month, as compared to 2,57,744 units sold in the same month last year,” stated the company.

Exports

Total exports reached 180,786 units, a 24% increase from the 145,259 units exported in November 2023. This growth in exports helped offset the decline in domestic sales.

“Total exports during the month under review rose 24% at 1,80,786 units, from 1,45,259 vehicles shipped out to overseas markets in November 2023," according to the company statement.

Commercial vehicle sales

Commercial vehicle sales, including exports, decreased slightly by 1% in November 2024. Bajaj Auto reported 53,564 units sold, down from 53,955 units in November 2023.

“Total commercial vehicle sales (including exports) fell 1% to 53,564 units in the previous month, from 53,955 in November 2023," Bajaj Auto said.

Two wheeler sales

Two-wheeler sales, both domestic and export, totaled 368,076 units in November 2024. This represents a 5% increase compared to the 349,048 units sold in November 2023.

“The total two-wheeler volume (domestic and exports) in November 2024 stood at 3,68,076 units, an increase of 5 cent over 3,49,048 units sold in the same month of last year," Bajaj Auto said.

Domestic two-wheeler sales experienced a 7% decrease, dropping to 203,611 units from 218,597 units in November 2023.

In contrast, two-wheeler exports saw a substantial 26% increase, with 164,465 units exported in November 2024 compared to 130,451 units in the same month of the previous year.

“The two-wheeler exports logged a 26% year-on-year growth at 1,64,465 vehicles in November, as compared to 1,30,451 units a year earlier," it said.
