"The role of RTC workers in achievement of Telangana state is commendable. As CMs of Telangana, including KCR, we should respect the aspirations of RTC and transport workers," Revanth said.
Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday announced that the govt would purchase 3,000 electric buses in the next two years as part of its plans to reduce pollution in the city.

He also cited the govt's recent initiative to waive off registration charges on electric vehicles as a testimony to its commitment to combat pollution, adding that the govt was working on incentives to encourage electric autos in the city.

Speaking at the 'Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu' organised by the state transport department at HMDA grounds on Thursday, the CM said that govt's free bus travel scheme had been used by over 115 crore women in the past 11 months, allowing each of them to save about 5,000 to 7,000. The free bus travel scheme helped in the revival of TGRTC and brought cheer to the lives of RTC workers, he said.

"The role of RTC workers in achievement of Telangana state is commendable. As CMs of Telangana, including KCR, we should respect the aspirations of RTC and transport workers," Revanth said.

"To fulfil goals of Telangana martyrs, the govt filled 55,000 jobs in just one year. Is there a history of giving so many jobs in a year in any state in country?" CM said.
