The Seltos and Carens also contributed substantially to Kia India's overall performance. Kia India delivered a record-breaking 255,038 vehicles in 2024, a 6% increase from 2023. This achievement was driven by the popularity of models like the Sonet, Seltos, and Carens, alongside network expansion and the successful launch of the Carnival Limousine. The company expanded its reach with new dealerships and CPO outlets, focusing on Tier-I and Tier-II cities. Kia India also saw growth in international exports, solidifying its growing global presence. The company is looking forward to the 2025 launch of the Syros.
Kia India delivered 255,038 vehicles in 2024, surpassing its previous record of 240,919 units delivered in 2023. This represents the highest-ever delivery performance in the company's history and a 6% year-over-year increase. The company attributes this success to a combination of factors, including the popularity of its vehicles, strategic network expansion, and a focus on reaching customers in new markets.
Product portfolio
The Kia Sonet played a significant role in the company's 2024 success. Deliveries of the Sonet reached 102,337 units, cementing its leading position in the sub-compact SUV segment. The Seltos and Carens also contributed substantially to Kia India's overall performance.
The Carnival Limousine also made a significant impact following its launch. Kia India delivered over 563 units within just two months of the vehicle's introduction.
Network expansion
The company's expansion efforts involved the addition of 126 new dealerships and 36 Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) outlets. This brought Kia India's total network to 700 touchpoints across 301 cities, strengthening its presence in both Tier-I and Tier-II markets.
Exports
Kia India's export performance also contributed to the overall positive results. The company exported 25,404 units in 2024, indicating the increasing global demand for its vehicles. This demonstrates the growing international appeal of the Kia brand and its made-in-India products.
“2024 has been a defining one for Kia India. Our focus on ensuring the timely delivery of our vehicles has not only allowed customers to enjoy their favorite Kia models but also strengthened our foundation for future growth. Expanding our touchpoints across the country is not just a strategy for immediate gains—it’s a long-term investment in building customer trust and expanding our reach. As we move into 2025, we are excited about the upcoming launch of the Syros, which promises to redefine the Indian automotive landscape. With this, we will set new industry benchmarks and reinforce our leadership position in the market,” stated Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India.
