PC6 tyres
Continental developed the PC6 tyres with specific features to handle the varied and challenging conditions of Indian roads. These features aim to provide drivers with a superior experience in terms of safety, performance, and comfort.
The PC6 tyres utilise Macroblock Technology for enhanced stability and cornering control. This technology allows for sporty performance while maintaining vehicle control.
The tyres also incorporate a silica compound to improve grip on both wet and dry surfaces. This feature is especially important in India, where drivers encounter both monsoon rains and extreme heat.
The new asymmetric pattern design further enhances grip by increasing pattern stiffness and reducing block deformation. This improves the tyre's response to lateral forces.
The PremiumContact 6 is available in rim sizes ranging from 17 to 20 inches. These tyres can be purchased at Continental Tires outlets throughout India.
ContiSeal™ technology
ContiSeal™ technology offers a significant advancement in tyre safety by eliminating the immediate need for roadside assistance in case of punctures. This technology allows for uninterrupted journeys, providing peace of mind in various driving conditions.
ContiSeal™ automatically seals 85% of tread punctures caused by objects up to 5 mm in diameter, such as nails or screws. This is achieved through a viscous sealant layer inside the tyre that encapsulates the puncture.
Even if the object dislodges, the tyre remains sealed, preventing air loss and maintaining tyre integrity. This eliminates the need for a spare tyre and provides a more convenient and safer driving experience.
Unlike conventional tyres, ContiSeal™ integrates the mobility solution directly into the tyre itself. This eliminates the need for carrying a spare wheel, enhancing both safety and comfort.
The flexible sealing layer spans the tyre's inner liner, enabling immediate puncture sealing. This feature highlights Continental's commitment to innovation and driver safety.
