Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has expanded its electric mobility line up by launching the Activa e: and QC1 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi. These launches represent HMSI’s continued efforts to meet the growing demand for sustainable transportation solutions in India.

Bookings for these electric scooters are now open in select cities for a nominal fee of INR 1,000. Priced at INR 1,17,000 for the Activa e: and INR 90,000 for the QC1, deliveries for the Activa e: will begin in Bengaluru in February 2025, with availability expanding to Delhi and Mumbai by April 2025. The QC1, meanwhile, will roll out across 6 cities—Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh—during its initial launch phase.

The Activa e: features a permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering a power of 6 kW. This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 7.3 seconds, with a top speed of 80 km/h. A key highlight of the Activa e: is its swappable battery system, which includes two 1.5 kWh batteries, providing a range of 102 km on a full charge. HMSI’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plans, priced at INR 1,999 and INR 3,599 per month, offer users flexible options based on their daily mileage requirements.

The QC1, on the other hand, offers a fixed 1.5 kWh battery pack with a range of 80 km on a single charge. Charging the battery from 0 to 80% takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes, with a full charge requiring just under 7 hours. Equipped with a 5.0-inch LCD display, USB Type-C charging, and a spacious 26-litre under-seat storage compartment, the QC1 is designed for convenience, making it ideal for city commutes. Powered by an in-wheel electric motor delivering a peak output of 1.8 kW, the QC1 achieves a top speed of 50 km/h.

Both models are available in five color options—Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, and Pearl Shallow Blue—providing consumers with aesthetic choices to suit their preferences.

Sharing his enthusiasm about the launch at the Auto Expo 2025, Mr. Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “At Honda, we believe in shaping the future of mobility through continuous innovation and customer-centric approach. The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 is the perfect platform to showcase our efforts towards carbon neutrality and providing sustainable mobility solutions.”
