JCB India unveiled its new range of CEV Stage 5 ready machines at the Bharat Construction Equipment Expo 2025, showcasing its commitment to sustainability, lower operating costs, and enhanced safety features. The company’s latest machines, which include Backhoe Loaders, Telehandlers, Skid Steer Loaders, Compactors, and Wheeled Loaders, are designed to meet the Government’s new emissions and safety regulations.
Deepak Shetty, CEO & Managing Director of JCB India, highlighted the company’s dedication to sustainable technology and customer satisfaction. He stated, “Our CEV Stage 5 machines offer 10-15% better fuel efficiency compared to Stage 4 models, making them a smart investment for customers focused on cost efficiency and environmental responsibility.” The machines are equipped with Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) and Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF), ensuring they comply with Stage 5 emission norms and deliver maximum performance.
Extensive testing
JCB’s CEV Stage 5 machines have undergone extensive testing, including over 200,000 hours of real-world trials, ensuring their reliability in diverse conditions, including high-altitude areas like Leh and Ladakh. These machines are also designed with enhanced safety features, such as Roll Over Protective Structure (ROPS) compliant cabins, ergonomically optimized controls, and improved fuel filtration systems to minimize downtime.
Additionally, JCB showcased its hydrogen-powered backhoe prototype, marking a significant step in reducing emissions in the construction sector. The company has invested over £100 million in its global hydrogen program to produce super-efficient hydrogen engines.
Partnership with Shriram Automall India Limited
JCB also announced a partnership with Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL) to manage the sale of pre-owned JCB machines, offering contractors a cost-effective solution while maintaining product quality.
With this launch, JCB India reinforces its position as a leader in providing eco-friendly and customer-centric construction equipment solutions.
