Additionally, Tata Power-DDL is working closely with MCD to identify more sites for the installation of EV charging stations.Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), a leading power utility serving approximately 9 million residents in North Delhi, has announced a strategic partnership with Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited (TPEVCSL) to develop public EV charging infrastructure at Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) parking sites across the Delhi region. This collaboration aims to promote electric vehicle adoption, aligning with Tata Power-DDL’s vision of a Green Tomorrow and supporting India’s goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2070.
The agreement was signed in the presence of senior officials from both organizations, including Gajanan S. Kale, Chief Executive Officer; Kiran Gupta, Chief-Customer Experience, Commercial, Government Affairs, EAC & Consumer Litigation; Rashmikant, Head CS&KCG; and Anurag Bansal, Head Legal from Tata Power-DDL. Representing Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited were Virender Goyal, Head Business Development - EV Business, and Deepak Jain, Regional Head - North.
MCD allocates EV sites
As per the Ministry of Power (MoP) guidelines, MCD has made its public parking sites available to Delhi Discoms and PSUs, including Tata Power-DDL, for the Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning (SITC) of EV charging stations. TPEVCSL has finalised several parking sites, which MCD has allocated to Tata Power-DDL for a period of 10 years. Additionally, Tata Power-DDL is working closely with MCD to identify more sites for the installation of EV charging stations.
