Royal Enfield Scram 440 launched: Check price, features, engine, specs

With its updated specifications and features, the Scram 440 aims to strengthen Royal Enfield’s position in the scrambler segment of the Indian market.
Royal Enfield has introduced the Scram 440 motorcycle to the Indian market. Announced at Motoverse 2024, the bike is priced at INR 2.08 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Trail variant. The lineup also includes the Force variant. Competing against models such as the Triumph Scrambler 440x, the Scram 440 builds on the Scram 411’s legacy with a larger engine, additional features, and subtle design updates.

Royal Enfield Scram 440: Design and features

The Scram 440 maintains a design reminiscent of the Scram 411. It features a round LED headlamp, exuding a neo-retro charm, paired with a boxy fuel tank adorned with the Royal Enfield logo. The exposed chassis and single-piece seat complete the aesthetic. Buyers can choose between 19/17-inch spoke wheels or alloy wheels offered with the Force variant. Color options include Trail Green, Trail Blue, Force Teal, Force Grey, and Force Blue.

Royal Enfield Scram 440: Chassis and suspension

Built on a half-duplex split cradle frame, the bike is equipped with 41 mm telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock with linkage. Braking is handled by a 300 mm front disc with a two-piston floating caliper and a 240 mm rear disc with a single-piston floating caliper. The Scram 440 weighs 187 kg dry and includes a digital-analog cluster for added functionality.

Royal Enfield Scram 440: Engine and performance

The motorcycle is powered by a 443 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, delivering 25 hp at 6,250 rpm and 34 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The power is transmitted through a six-speed gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch.
