Mahindra Veero Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. announced the pricing for the CNG variant of its Veero Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV). The Veero CNG comes in two trims and is available for purchase starting today.
The two available trims are the 1.4 XXL SD V2 CNG, priced at INR8.99 lakh ex-showroom, and the 1.4 XXL SD V4 (A) CNG, priced at INR9.39 lakh ex-showroom. The Veero CNG was initially showcased in September 2024.
Features
Mahindra built the Veero CNG on its Urban Prosper Platform (UPP). The company designed the vehicle to set new standards in several key areas.
The Veero CNG boasts a mileage of 19.2 km/kg and a 150-liter CNG tank. This provides a claimed best-in-class pure CNG range of 480 km. A 4.5-liter petrol tank is also included for emergencies, extending the total range to over 500 km. This dual-fuel system makes the Veero CNG suitable for both intracity and intercity travel.
The Veero CNG has a payload capacity of 1.4 tons and a cargo length of 3035 mm. Mahindra equipped the vehicle with a Turbo CNG engine that delivers 67 kW of power and 210 Nm of torque.
Safety specifications
Safety features include a driver-side airbag, adherence to AIS096 crash safety standards, and high-strength steel construction. Additional safety features are a False Start Avoidance System and what Mahindra claims is best-in-class driver visibility.
The Veero CNG’s cabin can accommodate the driver and two passengers. It includes an air conditioner, a reclining driver’s seat, and a first-in-segment TFT cluster.
Design
Mahindra designed the Veero CNG for low cost of ownership. It features a 20,000 km service interval. Other features contributing to lower operating costs include Engine Stop Start, Power mode, and a driver fuel coaching system.
The Veero CNG incorporates several bold and modern design elements. These include a distinctive grille and vertical headlamps. Mahindra intends for these design choices to give the Veero CNG a commanding road presence within the LCV segment.
