MG Comet EV price hike in India: Selected variants amount increased by up to INR 19,000

MG Motor India has raised the price of its compact electric vehicle, the MG Comet EV, by up to INR 19, 000. The price increase applies to all types of cars, making them significantly more expensive for consumers.

The Comet EV is popular among urban commuters due to its compact size, futuristic interior, and adequate range for daily use. With increased input prices and market volatility, MG has modified its pricing while still providing value in the electric vehicle industry.

The MG Comet EV is offered in four configurations: Executive, Excite, Exclusive, and 100-year edition. Among the four models, the range-topping 100-year edition has seen a INR 19,000 price rise when equipped with the fast charger.

The Exclusive model of the MG Comet EV is also INR 19,000 more expensive when equipped with the fast charger, and INR 14,000 more expensive without it.

The Excite edition of the Comet EV costs INR 12,000 more than the base model, and INR 17,000 more when equipped with the fast charger. Prices for the entry-level Executive model remain unchanged.

The MG Comet has now priced between INR 7 lakh and INR 9.84 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). The two-door electric vehicle is powered by a 17.3kWh battery pack and a single electric motor, which claims to have a range of 230km on a full charge.
