Niranjan GuptaIndia’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp’s CEO, Niranjan Gupta has stepped down in a shocking move with Vikram Kasbekar to act as the acting CEO for the time being. Gupta who has resigned to ‘pursue other opportunities’ will have his last working day on April 30, 2025, stated the company’s regulatory filings.
“During my eight years at Hero, I have had the opportunity to work with an exceptional team and contribute to the company’s continued success. As I move on to pursue other opportunities, I extend my best wishes to the entire team at Hero MotoCorp for an optimistic and progressive future,” added Niranjan Gupta.
This movement comes in alignment with multiple management rejigs such as appointment of Ashutosh Varma, National Sales Head – India Business Unit (IBU) to be elevated as new Chief Business Officer (CBO) – IBU with enforcement from May 1, 2025.
Additionally, there will be an extension of roles for Ram Kuppuswamy, Chief Procurement Officer and Chief Operations Officer (COO) – Manufacturing, effective April 1, 2025. Another management change comes with Jyoti Singh, Head HR – R&D to expand her work profile with Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer effective February 1, 2025.
Niranjan has contributed extensively to the company’s growth and brought multiple business clients.
