iGowise Mobility launches BeiGo, a heavy-duty pickup trike for last-mile delivery

BeiGo trikes come with a dual battery pack that offers up to a 150 KM range and a top speed of 70 KMPH.
iGowise Mobility (iGo), a deep-tech startup focused on smart mobility, is launching BeiGo, a heavy-duty pickup trike, this Diwali. The vehicle is aimed at meeting the growing demands of the eCommerce sector through a rider-to-owner model in partnership with BBNow, Flipkart Minutes, and Swiggy Instamart. iGo has plans to deploy 6,000 units of BeiGo over the next 18 months, supported by collaborations with after-sales service providers, EV OEMs, and financiers, to bolster the quick commerce sector.

The company has introduced VaaS (Vehicle as a Service) and BaaS (Battery as a Service) pricing models in partnership with EvateTech, enabling access at zero upfront cost and flexible subscription fees.

"Even today, 50% of logistics costs are attributed to last-mile operations, which makes it essential to transition to LightEVs. Almost all eCommerce giants have committed to complete electrification by 2035. However, due to insufficient incentives, most riders are still reluctant to switch from petrol vehicles.

Additionally, the logistics sector is burdened with fatigue caused by vehicles not designed for loads. With the advent of BeiGo, we aim to change that equation by offering a high-capacity alternative without breaking their shoulders and knees. In addition, our flexible VaaS and BaaS pricing models will allow riders to enhance their earnings potential with a consistent income of up to INR 40,000 a month," said Sravan Kumar Appana, Co-founder & Chief Executor of iGo.

Features

BeiGo trikes come with a dual battery pack that offers up to a 150 KM range and a top speed of 70 KMPH. There are two variants available: one with a 3.6 kWh ultra-durable LMFP battery and a premium version featuring a 4.4 kWh dual-pack. Both variants have a 4-year unlimited km warranty under the iGo-Care package. The trikes feature a 2-hour swift home charging capability and compatibility with faster charging options.

The BeiGo smart trike includes unique features such as an on-demand self-balancing system, a dual-wheel powertrain, and a triple-disc-brake CBS system, distinguishing itself in its category. Over the last four years of R&D, iGo has secured 12 patents and assures a 48-hour turnaround for any service issues to address concerns around EV service quality. The pre-booking for BeiGo in Bengaluru will start this Diwali, available through the website and major eCommerce platforms.

Inclusivity during production

To support gender diversity, iGo collaborates with NGOs to have at least 30% women delivery executives within its fleet. The company is also exploring partnerships with OEMs, contract manufacturers, and distributors to expand both domestically and internationally.

"We are transitioning from India’s most trusted online grocer to the forefront of QCommerce, delivering everything under the sun in just 10 minutes. We have demonstrated that the real magic and heavy lifting occur in the background. That is where our decade-long experience in customer fulfillment and data-driven decision-making, along with innovative solutions like the iGo’s high-speed trikes, becomes crucial.

As a socially responsible entity, we focus on the impact of super-fast delivery on rider fatigue and road safety. This is why we look forward to collaborating with innovative indigenous solutions like iGo for a sustainable future. Such unique solutions can help ensure a quicker and cheaper turnaround without compromising the safety and comfort of our riders," said Rahul Dinakaran, Head of Industrial Automation at BigBasket and part of BigBasket’s Innovations Team.

iGo's technology-as-a-service package allows manufacturers to license its ladder-frame modular platform to build their light EV brand more rapidly and affordably. The introduction of BeiGo could significantly aid the shift towards electrification in the logistics and eCommerce sectors, addressing not only efficiency and cost issues but also rider well-being and safety.
