Magenta Mobility has launched operations in Jaipur, Rajasthan, under its 'Pink Turns Green' initiative on Tuesday. The company plans to deploy 200 electric vehicles (EVs) initially, aiming to scale to 300 by December 2024. This expansion is part of Magenta's mission to decarbonize India's logistics industry.

Jaipur is emerging as a crucial player in India's EV logistics market due to growing demand for electric fleets. Its strategic location and commitment to sustainable transportation make it attractive for logistics companies. E-commerce, FMCG, and pharmaceutical sectors are increasingly prioritizing eco-friendly delivery in the city, boosting EV adoption.

The launch event saw the presence of JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation's leadership from Jaipur. Magenta will set up a new hub-and-spoke depot in the city, with parking space for 100 EVs and powered by 3.3 kW Penta chargers. The company plans to hire over 200 local delivery executives to support operations.

Magenta currently operates over 2,500 EVs across 18 cities, including Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai. The company facilitates more than 1 lakh deliveries per day, offsetting 905 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

By leveraging advanced technology and fostering local partnerships, Magenta aims to set a benchmark for sustainable logistics solutions throughout the country.
