Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India posts robust growth in Oct; reports 21% Y-o-Y sales growth at 5,97,711 units

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) reported a 21% year-over-year increase in overall dispatches for October 2024, reaching 5,97,711 units. This growth was driven by strong domestic sales and a significant rise in exports. HMSI also shared key business highlights for the month, including product launches, network expansion, road safety initiatives, and motorsports achievements.

HMSI recorded 5,53,120 units in domestic sales for October 2024, reflecting a 20% increase compared to the same period last year. Exports saw a substantial 48% jump, with 44,591 units shipped. From April to October 2024, HMSI achieved total sales of 37,56,088 units, comprising 34,34,539 units in domestic sales and 3,21,549 units in exports.

Geographical segmentation of sales

HMSI achieved one crore cumulative two-wheeler sales in the central Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Chhattisgarh. The company also reached the milestone of five million units sold in Karnataka.

Priced at INR 1,70,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the CB300F Flex-Fuel is India’s first 300cc flex-fuel motorcycle.

Expanding its presence, HMSI inaugurated a BigWing dealership in Kalamassery, Kochi (Kerala).

HMSI CSR initiatives

HMSI conducted road safety awareness campaigns in 10 cities across India: Bikaner (Rajasthan), Palghar (Maharashtra), Dr. Ambedkar Nagar (Madhya Pradesh), Shillong (Meghalaya), Kanchipuram (Tamil Nadu), Nellore (Andhra Pradesh), Hoshiarpur (Punjab), Tumkur (Karnataka), Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh), and Muzaffarpur (Bihar).

The company celebrated the seventh anniversary of its Traffic Training Park in Karnal (Haryana) and the fourth anniversary of its Safety Driving Education Centre in Bangalore (Karnataka). HMSI also organized Road Safety Conventions with school principals in Karnal (Haryana) as part of its ongoing project, “Mindset Development for our Future Generation."

In motorsports, Honda Racing India rider Mohsin Paramban secured victory in the 2024 season of the IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup NSF250, achieving seven wins out of ten races.
