Daimler India appoints Michael Moebius as new president and CPO

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, announced that Michael Moebius will become its new President and Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer, effective November 1, 2024. Moebius, who previously held a leadership position at Daimler Truck Asia, will replace Muthu Maruthachalam C. Moebius brings over three decades of experience in the passenger and commercial vehicle industries to his new role.

Past work

Moebius's most recent role was Head of Quality Management at Daimler Truck Asia (DTA) in Japan. His responsibilities included overseeing quality initiatives for several brands and locations. He played a key role in improving product quality, reducing warranty costs, and implementing innovative solutions like the 'Proactive Sensing' system.

Expertise

Moebius began his career at Daimler in 1990 and has held various positions within Mercedes-Benz Cars and Daimler Buses. His international experience includes working in Brazil, Vietnam, Iran, India, and Japan. Between 2010 and 2016, Moebius worked at DICV, where he was instrumental in setting global quality standards and driving product and process improvements.
