KTM 1390 Super Duke R

KTM, Europe's largest motorcycle manufacturer, has significantly expanded its presence in the Indian market by introducing 10 internationally recognised motorcycle models spanning four distinct categories. This strategic expansion is a testament to the successful partnership between KTM and Bajaj Auto Limited, aiming to provide Indian consumers with a comprehensive KTM experience.

To ensure a premium customer experience, KTM is establishing flagship stores in seven major Indian cities: Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. These stores will offer a complete selection of KTM PowerParts and KTM PowerWear, provide access to customised KTM Pro-XP experiences, and feature upgraded workshops equipped to service the entire range of KTM motorcycles.

Product range

The launch encompasses a diverse range of motorcycles, including the KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R and KTM 890 DUKE R in the Naked category, designed for riders who prioritise peak performance. The Adventure segment features the KTM 1290 SUPER ADVENTURE S and KTM 890 ADVENTURE R, catering to dedicated cross-country riders. The KTM 350 EXC-F is introduced in the Enduro category for serious offroad enthusiasts. For motocross racing, KTM offers the KTM 450 SX-F and KTM 250 SX-F for seasoned racers, and the KTM 85 SX, KTM 65 SX, and KTM 50 SX for young, competitive racers.

KTM is committed to fostering a robust motorsports culture in India and is actively developing a motorsport training facility in Bangalore. The facility will focus on nurturing racing talent through program development. KTM's dedication to motorsports extends to its active participation in FMSCI-accredited races and support for emerging racers across India. This includes the sponsorship of Shlok Ghorpade, a promising supercross athlete who has achieved significant success in national championships riding a KTM 250 SX-F.

KTM-Bajaj Auto partnership

The collaboration between KTM and Bajaj Auto has expanded KTM's presence in India over the past decade, marked by two distinct growth phases. In 2012, KTM introduced a wide range of premium motorcycles in the 200cc to 390cc categories, encompassing both Naked and Supersport models, while establishing a broad sales and service network.

In 2020, the brand diversified its offerings further with the launch of specialised models like the KTM Adventure range and the introduction of the KTM Pro-XP program. The KTM Pro-XP program provides riders with unique, customised experiences across Adventure, offroad, and Tarmac riding disciplines. The introduction of KTM's global range in India marks the third phase of this partnership.

Gottfried Neumeister, Co-CEO of KTM AG, said, “Today marks another milestone in the partnership between KTM and Bajaj Auto as we introduce 10 internationally acclaimed motorcycles across multiple segments, bringing Indian motorcyclists closer to the world of premium, READY TO RACE bikes that KTM is known for. Each model embodies KTM's spirit of Adventure, precision, and unmatched engineering. This moment is pivotal in meeting the rising demand for high-performance bikes and nurturing a vibrant community of biking enthusiasts in India.”

Manik Nangia, President Probiking at Bajaj Auto, said, “Bajaj Auto’s partnership with KTM has always been driven by a shared vision to bring world-class motorcycling experiences to India. Today’s unveiling of the global KTM range in India marks a bold new chapter in our journey. We’re not only expanding our range but also enhancing our service and experience standards with flagship stores in key cities. These motorcycles embody the spirit of performance, precision, and adventure that KTM is celebrated for, and with our commitment to Motorsports & a premium customer experience, we are fully driven to deliver the quality our customers expect.”
