Axalta unveils 2025 global automotive color of year

Axalta Coating Systems has revealed its 2025 Global Automotive Color of the Year, Evergreen Sprint, a deep forest green inspired by British racing green. This is Axalta's 11th annual color of the year and their second green hue. The color aims to evoke speed, performance, and sophistication across various vehicle types.

Evergreen Sprint is a rich, deep forest green reminiscent of the classic British racing green seen on high-performance racing vehicles. The color seeks to capture the excitement of motorsports while adding a touch of elegance to sedans and SUVs.

“This striking hue revs up our global automotive color of the year,” said Dan Benton, Global Color Marketing Director at Axalta.

Benton further emphasised that Evergreen Sprint is designed to be eye-catching and to embody the spirit of competition and adventure. He believes the dynamic color will resonate with driving enthusiasts.

Axalta's global team of color experts has been collaborating since 2015 to identify emerging color trends in the automotive industry. Their annual efforts aim to forecast and influence the colors seen on vehicles worldwide.

According to Axalta's 2023 Global Automotive Color Popularity Report, green currently represents approximately 2% of vehicles globally. This suggests that Evergreen Sprint could signal a potential increase in the popularity of green automotive colors. The report provides insights into current color preferences in the automotive market.
