IIT Bombay introduces e-Postgraduate diploma in e-mobility for upcoming EV professionals

IIT Bombay, in partnership with Great Learning, is launching an 18-month e-Postgraduate Diploma in e-mobility starting March 2025. This industry-focused program aims to equip professionals with skills needed for the growing electric vehicle sector. The curriculum, designed and delivered by IIT Bombay faculty, covers key areas like electric vehicle design and battery technology, culminating in an on-campus graduation ceremony with alumni status conferred.

Holistic aspect coverage

The program covers crucial aspects of electric vehicle technology, including electric vehicle design, battery technology, electrical drives, and power electronics. Participants will engage in practical projects such as vehicle sub-system modeling, embedded controller for electric motors, simulation of power electronic systems, battery modeling techniques and degradation phenomenon, modeling and control of EV chargers, and impact assessment of EVs on grid infrastructure. These projects are supported by IIT Bombay's academic resources, ensuring a robust learning experience.

Eligibility criteria

Eligibility criteria require candidates to hold a B.E./B.Tech. degree or a 4-year B.Sc./BS degree in a relevant engineering or technology field. Candidates with postgraduate (M.Tech./M.Sc./MS) or doctorate degrees in relevant engineering and technology domains can also apply.
