The much-awaited facelifted version of the MG Gloster SUV has been revealed at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, rechristened as the MG Majestor. Since its debut in October 2020, this full-size SUV has undergone only minor updates, making this facelift a significant milestone. The Majestor, MG's response to evolving market demands, is poised to compete with segment leaders like the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq.

Bold new design

The MG Majestor features a striking redesign, starting with a more upright and imposing front fascia. A larger, more pronounced grille is complemented by vertically stacked LED headlights positioned above sleek LED DRLs, giving the SUV a modern and aggressive stance. The side profile remains muscular, riding on new 19-inch alloy wheels, while the rear showcases connected LED taillights and a revamped bumper with dual exhaust outlets.

Luxurious interiors and advanced features

Inside, the Majestor sports a refreshed cabin with a contemporary theme and a redesigned dashboard. A host of premium features ensures comfort and convenience, including:

  • A new infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
  • A 12-way powered front seat with massage and ventilation.
  • A digital driver’s display and a wireless phone charger.
  • A panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and three-zone climate control.
Safety is a priority, with the Majestor expected to feature six airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, ISOFIX mounts, and Level-2 ADAS capabilities.

Powerful diesel powertrains

The MG Majestor will continue with two diesel engine options:

  1. A 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine producing 161 PS and 374 Nm.
  2. A 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine generating 216 PS and 479 Nm.
Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, ensuring smooth and efficient performance.

Launch timeline and pricing

The MG Majestor is slated for launch later in 2025, with prices expected to start from INR40 lakh (ex-showroom).

Rivals and market position

The Majestor retains its position as a full-size SUV contender, competing with the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq in the premium 7-seater SUV segment.

With its bold new look, luxurious interiors, and updated features, the MG Majestor is set to redefine expectations in its segment, offering a compelling choice for SUV enthusiasts in India and beyond.
