In addition to these border restrictions, diversions will be in effect along the parade route from Vijay Chowk to Red Fort. Traffic restrictions will also apply on C-Hexagon after 9.15pm on Saturday.

Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Republic Day celebrations, outlining restrictions and diversions on various roads. Additional commissioner of police (Traffic), DK Gupta, informed that city border entry points will be restricted starting Saturday evening.

"We have made a detailed traffic plan according to which from 9pm on Saturday (January 25), the entry at the bordering areas will be restricted and only essential vehicles will be allowed. This restriction will be in place until the parade concludes," Gupta stated.

In addition to these border restrictions, diversions will be in effect along the parade route from Vijay Chowk to Red Fort. Traffic restrictions will also apply on C-Hexagon after 9.15pm on Saturday.

The Republic Day parade is scheduled to begin at 10.30am on Sunday, departing from Vijay Chowk and proceeding to the Red Fort. Starting 10:30 am on Sunday, traffic on Tilak Marg, BSZ Marg, and Subhash Marg will be restricted in both directions. Cross traffic will be allowed based on the movement of the parade.

Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and avoid the parade route between 9.30am and 1pm for convenience. While there are no restrictions for travelers from north Delhi heading to New Delhi or Old Delhi Railway Stations, it is recommended that they plan extra time to account for potential delays.
