Kia India has launched its new SUV, the Syros, from its Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh plant. The first customer unit has rolled off the production line, marking a significant milestone for the company. Kia aims to redefine the global SUV market with this "Made-in-India" offering, which was globally unveiled in December 2024. The Syros boasts advanced technology, spacious interiors, and various safety features, catering to the needs of Indian consumers. The SUV is available for booking and will be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January, with official pricing and deliveries to follow in February.

Kia held a ceremony at its Anantapur plant to celebrate the start of Syros production. Kia Corporation's President and CEO, Ho Sung Song, and Kia India's Managing Director, Gwanggu Lee, attended the event. The ceremony signifies the continuation of the momentum generated by the Syros's world premiere in December.

“Today marks a significant milestone as we introduce the Syros—a futuristic SUV set to redefine the Indian automotive landscape. With its futuristic features and segment-leading innovations, the Syros underscores Kia’s commitment to pushing the boundaries with every new model. Just as we did with the Seltos, the Sonet, the Carens, we are excited to welcome a new wave of customers to the Kia brand. We are confident that once customers experience the Syros, they will develop a strong affinity for its class-leading interiors, space, and cutting-edge technology,” stated Ho Sung Song, President and CEO of Kia Corporation.
