Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), a subsidiary of Tata Motors, has opened two new electric vehicle (EV) retail stores in Kerala, signaling growing EV demand in the region. The stores, located in Kannur and Thrissur, were inaugurated shortly after the opening of the first two TATA.ev stores in Kerala in August 2024. Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., inaugurated the stores alongside their respective dealer principals.

About the stores

The Kannur store, strategically located in the bustling automobile hub of the city, boasts an impressive area of 5,200 square feet. It is distinguished as the very first retail store and service center in both Kerala and South India that is exclusively dedicated to electric vehicles (EVs). This facility includes an advanced service workshop featuring 10 service bays to cater to the needs of EV customers. On the other hand, the TATA.ev store, which occupies a spacious 7,000 square feet, is positioned in Thrissur's automotive center along the prominent National Highway 544. This store exemplifies a strong commitment to sustainability, having been thoughtfully constructed through the process of repurposing and modernizing an existing building structure.

"In alignment with our brand's core pillar of sustainability, this store has been entirely constructed by reusing and updating an older facility, ensuring minimal environmental impact while promoting eco-friendly practices," stated the company.
